| . Bringing the "Body Of Christ" into Unity! Though there will be doctrinal and Denominational differences we are still called to unity. Eph 4:1-16 (NLT) Unity in the Body
|
If the Head were disconnected from the body even by a few millimeters then the whole body would die. We are the body of Christ (Eph 1:22-23). Christ is the head, Leadership is the nervous system the Holy Spirit is the power that flows from the head with direct orders to the body, the whole spiritual body needs to have the same unity that our natural bodies have. Now we are speaking of Body mentality everyone’s personal walk is a different thing altogether. Everyone can hear from God on a personal level for his or her own Relationship. But hearing the direction God has called us, as a body is a lot different than our personal walk.
That is why communication in the body as a whole is so important. If communication shuts off to the kidney then it begins to die. We (the body) have allowed the enemy to bring division into the body actually bringing Division to the Vision God has laid out for the body to walk in. If you smash your finger or stub your toe you don’t care how ridiculous you look you will grab your hand and cuddle it like a new born baby comforting it or your toe hopping on one foot, you will hold the other foot just to comfort the injured body part. We as the body of Christ have lost this mentality. We see a (Church) dying and we say oh well they must not really be part of the body or a scandal hits a congregation and the rest of the church’s in town say “yep they should just shut the doors” when if we really where acting like the Body that Christ called us to be. We would immediately begin to cover that part of the body with prayer.
